On the 7th of June, Mrs Ferguson, Mr. Peet and I were thrilled to be able to welcome Mrs. Agnes Kamara, Head of our sister school St. Peter's in Bo No.2. As the school was still on holiday the children had to wait to meet her the following Monday. She was delighted to finally see the children that she had heard so much about and Mr. Turpin who had so generously helped to raise funds to renovate the school's hall. Agnes, and the other teacher's from Bo who accompanied her, stayed for 10 days and was able to visit all the classes, take singing in the hall, meet the mayor and visit the local attractions.
On the 14th we again shared facilities with Kingsway to host the Day of the African Child followed by a cultural evening. Amazingly, Agnes met someone she recognised from her village who now lived in Coventry.
We said a sad farewell at All Saints School, Warwick determined to keep the links open.
